Manhattan Moon
he Manhattan Moon image was a shot looking east on 59th Street on an early evening in December 2019. Skyscrapers (that name is questionable, but what do the buildings look like they are doing, and what else would you call them?) direct attention towards that bright dot suspended yonder. The buildings to me are like blinders for a horse. If it were not for this street, I would not see this. However, the College of Insurance, one of my favorite buildings at the end of Murray Street, is the physical obstacle to any views towards the river. My sister, her children, and I were walking towards the Columbus Circle subway from the Ailey Dance Center. My niece and nephew attended, and they grew to become beautiful and talented dancers, but both of them decided to cease attending during the COVID lockdown.
I took this toward the end of sundown and near twilight. The sky colors moving into blue with the last streaks of yellow-orange, orange, and red are beautiful. The Manhattan Moon's position directs one's vision up, past 35 degrees. The brain enters the alpha state. One could think of an affirmation or a wish. After mentally stating the phrase or sentence, this is another chance to smile. We all need to create as many reasons to smile as we can.
When I took this shot I was unaware of Manhattanhenge.
Manhattan Moon is Manhattanhenge
While we were away, many things changed and developed in the city. One of them was the Manhattanhenge gathering during the summer solstice.
"Manhattanhenge is a twice-a-year event that occurs near the summer solstice, specifically at sunset. During this event, as the Sun sets on the city’s east side, its rays align perfectly with Manhattan’s east-west street grid, shining through the city’s buildings.
"This unique phenomenon results from the city’s street layout, planned in 1811 and oriented about 29 degrees east of true North. Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson is credited with popularizing the term “Manhattanhenge.
"Manhattanhenge happens in summer for approximately 21 days, or three weeks, before and after the summer solstice. That’s generally around May 28 to 29 and July 12 to 13."(1)
I think Dr. deGrasse Tyson started a movement. He generated interest in a natural occurrence in a way that attracted more people. I've seen photographs of people gathering to witness this among a structured, man-made environment, capturing videos, photographs and the sun's rays.
Another fantastic brain-stimulating activity at the Hayden Planetarium, American Museum of Natural History is the Isaac Asimov Memorial Debate held since 2009. Isaac Asimov is one of my favorite authors of my favorite genre.I wrote my first sci-fi romantic novel (I plan only 8), of which three chapters are here. I found the debate through information at 4Bidden Knowledge created by Billy Carson. Mr. Carson discussed Dr. Sylvester James Gates, Jr. about adinkra symbols and genomes. I browsed Dr. Gate's name, found some of his amazing work. (Adinkra symbols are from the Akan people of Ghana. I plan to use them in my knitting as I currently use crop circles to create phrases.) From there, I was led to one of the debates. It was a gift to find that the debates are accessible on YouTube for free. Did I already mention brain-stimulating?
The Old Farmer's Almanac, one of my favorite publications,—"234 years and still going strong." is a good source for future Manhattanhenge dates.The American Museum of Natural History and the Hayden Planetarium have always provided exciting and educational exhibits since I was a child.

What is Psychic Art?

Soul Portrait
Soul Portrait is the most in-depth of all of the art images because of vastness of a soul. A soul portrait is information that draws from everything the soul did in all of its lifetimes. The information that comes is what is relevant to the person in this time, at this time.
Art work will show graphically and energetically what you need to know at this time. This art can be used for meditation as well. The image is presented with a written interpretation. The time it would take varies per client; an average amount of time is four weeks. A digital image can be forwarded, however, the physical art will be shipped.
