Brooklyn Botanic Garden
he Art Brooklyn Botanic Garden drawing is of a nice place to visit. The mixed media drawing could be anywhere but I chose this location at the Garden because of the flora, rocks, and water. The sounds of Nature surrounded me. Since experiencing on-site sketching with Barbara Carr I enjoyed creating at many sites in New York and around the world.

I got used to feeling like I am being judged or, rather, that my artwork is. I learned to enter a meditative state and focus on the work. With the psychic art, it is easier. I learned that much later but I apply the meditative process to drawing on-site better than I used to.
About the Brooklyn Botanic Garden
"Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Arboretum, botanical garden founded in 1911 in Brooklyn, N.Y., municipally owned and privately operated (by the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences). It maintains an extensive and widely emulated program of public education. The 50-acre (20-hectare) area in Brooklyn is augmented by a 220-acre (90-hectare) field station in nearby Westchester county. Among the more than 12,000 plant forms in the botanical garden are special rose, cactus, and orchid collections, a bonsai exhibit, a fragrant garden for the blind, a Shakespeare garden, and a wildflower garden. The garden underwent a major expansion and renovation of facilities in 1988–89. The garden publishes a quarterly, Plants and Gardens." (1)
"Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences, cultural and educational institution founded in 1823 in Brooklyn, N.Y., as the Brooklyn Apprentices' Library Association. The scope was broadened in 1843 and the name changed to The Brooklyn Institute. In 1890 the institution was reorganized and reincorporated under its present name. The forerunner of the Brooklyn Museum of Art (est. 1897), it also included the Brooklyn Academy of Music (est. 1859), Brooklyn Children's Museum (est. 1899), and Brooklyn Botanic Garden (est. 1910)."(2)
"In 1864, the City of Brooklyn acquired the future site of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) as part of its Prospect Park land purchases. Though the eastside land remained undeveloped for decades, the New York State Legislature officially established the garden in 1897. The architectural firm McKim, Mead & White designed both the Administration Building and the neighboring Brooklyn Museum of Art, which opened in 1902, with the surrounding area known as Institute Park.
"The original site plan was laid out by the Olmsted Brothers, but landscape architect Harold Caparn (1864-1945) took over planning in 1912. Over the next 33 years, Caparn guided BBG’s organic growth, envisioning it as both an artistic and educational space. By the time he stepped down in 1945, the garden included more than thirteen distinct gardens, museums, and buildings.
"Management of the BBG was handed to the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences in 1910, and on May 13, 1911, the Garden officially opened to the public. That same year, the Native Flora Garden, BBG’s oldest feature, showcasing plants native to the New York City region, opened. This garden was later expanded in 2013 to include coastal meadow and pine barrens habitats. The Children’s Garden opened in 1914 as a pioneering space for teaching children gardening, plant science, and healthy eating habits. In 1915, Japanese landscape designer Takeo Shiota (1881 –1943) created the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden, integrating it into a glacial kettle pond formed during the Ice Age. This garden underwent a major restoration in 2000.
"The year 1917 marked a turning point for the Garden. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden Auxiliary was established, the Rock Garden was built using glacial boulders found on site, and the Louisa Clark Spencer Lilac Collection, with over 150 lilac species, was completed.
"Expansion continued through the 1920s and '30s. The Lily Pool Terrace was completed in 1921, followed by the Shakespeare Garden in 1925, with plants referenced in the works of William Shakespeare. In 1928, the Cranford Rose Garden was unveiled with over 1,000 rose varieties. Nearby, the Magnolia Plaza was added in 1932, with seventeen different magnolia species. The nearby Steinhardt Conservatory includes the Bonsai Museum, the Warm Temperate Pavilion, the Tropical Pavilion, the Trail of Evolution, the Aquatic House, the Desert Pavilion, and the Palm House.
"During the New Deal era, federal relief programs contributed to BBG’s development. In 1938, the Works Progress Administration (WPA) helped build the Herb Garden, an Elizabethan-style knot garden inspired by The Gardener’s Labyrinth. The Italianate Osborne Garden followed in 1939, constructed by labor from both the WPA and the Civil Works Administration. In 1941, Kanzan cherry trees were planted along the Cherry Esplanade, and in 1955, landscape designer Alice Recknagel Ireys (1911-2000) created Fragrance Garden, the U.S.’s first public multisensory garden designed specifically for the visually impaired.
"BBG underwent a major transformation in the 1970s when it became an independent institution, separating from the Brooklyn Institute. Renovations and restorations followed in the 1990s, including work on the Rock Garden (1992), Lily Pool Terrace (1993), Fragrance Garden (1995), and soil restoration in the Cranford Rose Garden (1996). That same year, the Discovery Garden, an immersive landscape for children to explore habitats and learn about garden wildlife, opened. It was later redeveloped in 2015 to include a meadow, marsh, and woodland ecosystem.
"In 2000, BBG founded the Florilegium Society to artistically document its plant collections. The Bonsai Museum was renovated in 2007, and in 2012, the Garden opened the eco-friendly Steinberg Visitor Center. In recognition of its service and innovation, BBG received the National Medal for Museum and Library Service in 2014.
"BBG launched a major Water Conservation Project with the opening of the Shelby White and Leon Levy Water Garden in 2018, making BBG a national leader in sustainable water use. Accessibility was improved with the opening of the Robert W. Wilson Overlook in 2019, and in 2020, the Elizabeth Scholtz Woodland Garden opened, highlighting shade-tolerant plants suited for urban gardeners.
Brooklyn Botanic Garden is an urban botanic garden that connects people to the world of plants, fostering delight and curiosity while inspiring an appreciation and sense of stewardship of the environment. The garden is open year-round and hosts seasonal public programs year-round including special events for cherry blossom season and a winter light trail." (3)
My Art Brooklyn Botanic Garden
The Garden offers environments designed for various species, allowing visitors to experience the natural beauty of their origins. I appreciate how this well-maintained park inspires my artistry, providing endless sources for creating new drawings, workshop videos on Chinosoire, and pattern-making graphics. The park’s vibrant specimens continually spark my creativity.
Experiencing the park's natural elements inspires meditations that deepen my and my readers’ connection with Spirit. Within this atmosphere, I sense Spirit in every detail, from watching Sylphs drift above to the voices of ancestors sharing wisdom.

What is Psychic Art?
Psychic art involves entering a meditative state and communicating with Spirit. Similar to channeled writing, a form of psychic art, Entura or "enter the aura" art is automatic and uses color. There is little "thinking" involved. Art itself uses the left brain for technique and psychic art requires none of this knowledge. In fact, the beauty of this is that no prior art experience is necessary.
Entura art, a unique drawing technique was so named and is being taught by Patricia Hayes, founder of Delphi University for Spiritual Studies in McCaysville, Georgia. Ms. Hayes was the personal assistant to Arthur Ford. She is a gifted spiritual channel and has spent the past 40 years teaching people to develop their spiritual abilities.
Entura means "enter the aura". A person accesses the subtle energy plane and the feelings sensed from there take on form and color. Using meditation and writing, the drawing is interpreted for its use of color, shapes, and images that appear.

Personal Healing Mandala Art
The healing mandala will be specific to your needs at this time. You may use it for meditation. You will be provided with instructions about how to use it. If you’d like to talk, we can arrange a time for you to call me. However, the call will not be for intuitive visionary healing unless it is specifically requested beforehand. You may request a healing mandala created in accordance with your question. It is understood that this may be a timely issue, therefore, a digital product is provided. Soul Portrait
Soul Portrait is the most in-depth of all of the art images because of vastness of a soul. A soul portrait is information that draws from everything the soul did in all of its lifetimes. The information that comes is what is relevant to the person in this time, at this time.
Art work will show graphically and energetically what you need to know at this time. This art can be used for meditation as well. The image is presented with a written interpretation. The time it would take varies per client; an average amount of time is four weeks. A digital image can be forwarded, however, the physical art will be shipped.

Unique Birthday Cards
These Birthday Cards show an answer from Spirit for the birthday of the client. The image is drawn on 8" x 10" charcoal paper; the text is printed on card stock with colors to give the impression of an ancient text.
Please request a card at least two weeks before the birthday in order to ensure the opportunity to present it in a timely manner.
