lectric Plant" was transferred from a photo I received from a Queens, New York Con Edison office, pre-terrorism days. This type of facility was the first of its kind for me to render and it was the beginning of my fascination with plants. When I walk through New York, I take photos of more to develop other images.

A couple of purple-winged lavender beings took up residence in there.
Stone relief of Djed Pillar (capacitor) serpent snake in ancient Egyptian Hathor Temple believed to be power source.
Power stations include capacitors that look like Djed Pillars in Egyptian hieroglyphs. I don't know that anyone created what the image depict to determine if this system works. The belief that the oblong element is a light bulb may be supported by the fact that where wall and ceilings were rendered, there is not evidence of any type of soot that results from burning organic light sources.
A memory from the past, but closer to the present was a college class field trip to a Manhattan office building to see its mechanical systems. This building's uniqueness was that it was the first to install its mechanical space above grade and with windows. We were able to view Manhattan and beyond on all four sides. All services were painted; it was easy to see what we, as students with our class projects, were designing in two dimensions and how the services - heating; ventilating; air conditioning; potable water; sewage, and electrical - were organized. I don't remember the address; I'll look into this.
The above meditation mandala will be available soon.
